GrayH Jewelry Design, also known as GH Jewelry Design, is based out of Raleigh, North Carolina. I'm Gray Heffner, and I specialize in ceramic pendants and clay based jewelry.
I've loved art since I was a child. I'm a graphic designer by profession, but I'm always looking for unique creative outlets. I started working with clay as a young person, and I was introduced to raku firing several years ago - I was smitten.
Every piece is at the mercy of the surrounding environmental conditions, and as a result, no two glazes will ever be the same. That variability is what is truly exciting. I wanted to share the beauty of the process, so I began making ceramic pendants and beads - Voila! Wearable art.
